Healthy Living

You are what you eat, and at Tamimi Markets you’ll find a variety of fresh, tasty choices to suit your lifestyle and dietary needs. That’s because we are the first supermarket in Saudi Arabia with a special Healthy Living department.

So what does Healthy Living mean at Tamimi Markets? It’s all about quality, freshness and flavor in healthy foods that are tasty, convenient, and as close to nature as they can be.

Our Healthy Living department offers products that are:

  • Organic: Foods made without artificial pesticides, chemical fertilizers, irradiation, industrial solvents or chemical additives. They also do not have genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Many countries have specific guidelines for foods that are labeled organic.

  • Natural: Minimally processed, natural foods that don’t have chemical additives, hormones or artificial ingredients. Examples include hormone-free dairy products, packaged foods without preservatives, and products made with grass-fed beef or free-range poultry.

  • No artificial ingredients: Packaged foods that don’t contain artificial ingredients or chemical additives such as dyes, preservatives or sugar substitutes.

  • Gluten-free:  Gluten-free foods that are also organic, natural or have no artificial ingredients. Some people cannot eat gluten, a protein that is in wheat, barley and rye.  They can develop potentially life-threatening illnesses if they eat breads, cakes, cereals or pastas with gluten. Many processed foods also contain gluten, such as ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, salad dressing, frozen foods and candy.
